January 1, 2004. Singh & Associates,
Inc. proudly unveils the new look for www.singhinc.com.
The website was redesigned to reflect SINGH’s
growth and commitment to customer satisfaction.
The site is easily navigated to find important information
regarding the company and its vast experience in
design engineering. SINGH has maintained a web presence
since 2001; however the new more elegant site was
designed to more accurately reflect SINGH’s
capabilities.
In 2003, Singh & Associates,
Inc. was part of the team that received local recognition
for the rehabilitation of historic Wacker Drive.
SINGH was a sub-consultant to TYLIN on this award-winning
project.
SINGH is also working on the second design phase
of this historic rehabilitation of this two level
thoroughfare that has a traffic volume of more than
60,000 cars and thousands of pedestrians every day.
It was originally constructed in 1926 and is eligible
to be named a national landmark. The lower portion
of the roadway facilitates parking and major deliveries
and refuse pick-up from 57 high-rise buildings.
The upper level helps to ease congestion in the
central business district by distributing traffic.
The overall project goals include rebuilding and
restoring the entire structure; easing the flow
of traffic on adjacent streets; and improve access
and safety on lower Wacker Drive.
SINGH is providing design services for the new
roadway lighting system, electrical, as well as
traffic signal modernization for nine intersections.
The project requires street lighting as well as
underpass lighting. SINGH’s team is coordinating
with other consultants to insure that the design
and project objectives are met on time and within
budget. The improvements to this major artery in
the heart of Chicago’s Loop will improve safety
and traffic flow. The design will be completed using
a state of the art lighting design program.
