Singh & Associates, Inc. (SINGH) as a subconsultant provided MEP design and prepared plans, estimates and specifications for the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work related to converting the unused Control Building at former Plaza 66 to Data Center at Dekalb with two raised floor data rooms and new UPS units. The data center provides offsite redundant data backup for the Illinois Tollway.

The scope of work also included demolition, interior lighting, card access system, CCTV cameras, MEP design of the generator shed, computer room air conditioner (CRAC) units for the data rooms, and HVAC and plumbing for other areas in the building. Redundant and concurrently maintainable solutions were provided for the UPS units, computer rack circuit distribution, and CRAC units. Power monitoring equipment was also specified to allow historical analysis of the buildings electrical load.
