Singh & Associates, Inc. (SINGH) provided electrical engineering services as a sub-consultant. SINGH’s scope consisted of improving five intersections, traffic signal modernization, MOT plans, navigational lighting and a new lighting system.

The overall project improvements addressed traffic flow and safety to the area by redesigning Archer and Ashland Ave. intersections. The new design incorporated the reconstruction of Robinson St. and the original roadway was extended from Archer Ave. to 31st Street. New traffic signals were installed along Robinson St. at the intersections of Ashland Ave., Archer Ave. and 31st St, providing controlled access for motorists. The new roadway is much easier for motorists to navigate, and the new signalized intersections will benefit motorists, residents, and pedestrians alike.

The total roadway improvements included; a new dedicated access to I-55, new traffic signals, new lighting, roadway resurfacing, new sidewalks, new curbs and gutters, improved drainage and landscaping.
