SINGH & Associates, Inc. (SINGH) provided roadway lighting design and traffic signal design services to IDOT as a subconsultant for the roadway interchange. The existing structure of a 4-span pre-stressed concrete multi-girder bridge was replaced with a 2-span steel plate girder bridge. The new structure will raised the profile of Marseilles Road approximately 1.5’ in order to provide a minimum vertical clearance of 16.5’ over I-80.

The scope consisted of rebuilding each of the four diagonal ramps to realign with the interchange intersections at 75 degrees and reconstructing ramp termini to align with the ultimate I-80 six-lane cross-section. SINGH was responsible for the preparation of contract plans, estimates and specifications for the roadway lighting of the interchange and temporary traffic signals.
