This project for the Illinois Department of Transportation consisted of reconstruction of US Route 20, new drainage system and traffic signal modernization. Singh & Associates, Inc. (SINGH) was responsible for preparation of drainage and erosion control plans, specifications and quantity estimates for 2 miles of US 20 (Lake St.) between Rohlwing Rd. and Addison Rd. The work included design of 400 new storm drain inlets, five release control structures and adjustment of existing utility structures. Majority of the proposed storm sewers are of watermain quality due to the large amount of water pipes located in the area. The layout of the new drainage system is also obstructed by the location of many different types of underground utilities.
