The Jardine Water Purification Plant is the largest capacity water filtration plant in the world, located at 1000 East Ohio Street north of Navy Pier. It draws raw water from two of the city's water cribs far offshore in Lake Michigan and sends nearly one billion gallons of water a day to consumers in the city.

Singh & Associates, Inc. (SINGH) is providing electrical construction engineering services as a sub consultant for City of Chicago Department of Water Management. The scope includes quality assurance for specified work, verification of materials, inspection of work in progress and attending project meetings. Additionally, daily reports of work is provided including special conditions of the high security environment due to the proximity of Navy Pier and occasional related work with the rescue operations based at the plant.

The total project includes the repair and rehabilitation of the upper roadway including lighting. Also the relocation of standby generators, new electrical substations, and new modern energy efficient luminaries for replaced outside lighting.
