Job Description
Are you a Civil/Transportation Senior Engineer looking to join a collaborative, experienced team? The SINGH + Associates civil team wants to meet you! Responsibilities for this role are focused on the design and project management of a variety of transportation projects. This position will require a highly motivated individual that can independently provide technical leadership. Qualified candidates will have a strong, proven background in roadway/highway design. The Civil/Transportation Senior Engineer must be able to manage multiple project teams while effectively delivering documents to meet deadlines while adhering to budgetary constraints. Some regional travel may be required.
Tasks
- Executes required aspects of roadway engineering based on a deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts.
- Leads and manages multi-disciplinary projects and tasks.
- Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of the project team comprised of engineers, technicians, and subconsultants.
- Create and enforce project QC/QA plan.
- Provides leadership and facilitates technical and management collaboration.
- Responsible for project progress and status reports, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Tracks the progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution.
- Manages workload and deliverables on multiple projects.
- Compile scope and fee for projects, supports business development efforts.
Skills + Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university is mandatory.
- 10+ years of transportation design experience.
- Design experience with Illinois Department of Transportation is preferred.
- Professional Engineer License in IL is mandatory with the ability to submit for reciprocity.
- Must possess strong leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong CAD/Design Software (MicroStation SS10, GeoPak, ORD) experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
