SINGH, as a subconsultant, provided electrical engineering and lighting design services for 3.5 miles of the I-794 | Hoan Bridge and Lake Freeway Reconstruction project. The Hoan Bridge is instantly recognizable in the City of Milwaukee’s skyline and provides a critical transportation link to the City’s lakefront. The bridge, constructed in the mid 1970’s, required deck replacement, structural modifications and additional improvements.

SINGH evaluated the existing freeway and box girder lighting and developed a conceptual lighting design and report. SINGH developed alternatives for bridge and freeway lighting, developed renderings to illustrate lighting alternatives, and provided operational and long-term cost comparisons between the different alternatives. Based on the client-chosen alternative, SINGH designed freeway lighting, interchange high-mast lighting, LED lighting design, internal box girder lighting, navigational lighting, temporary lighting, landscape lighting, parking lot lighting, and aesthetic lighting including color renderings of the Hoan Bridge showing various schemes.
