SINGH worked as a prime consultant for IDOT for over eight (8) years providing Phase II engineering services for various lighting and electrical projects throughout the State.

Phase II work consisted of engineering design for roadway lighting, roundabout lighting, interchange and intersection lighting, navigational lighting, high mast lighting, electrical installations, dewatering pump station upgrades, rest areas and weight stations, along with other electrical and lighting facilities. Work also included the review of lighting design plans, special provisions, and contract documents which relate to electrical, lighting, and pump station work as well as the analysis of field problems, site visits, and nighttime inspections.

Additional assignments included participating on IDOT Committees for the development and implementation of new electrical standards and policies. As part of this work, SINGH was also responsible for the updating of IDOT Standards and training manuals. This work entailed reviewing these policies and confirming they complied with state electrical codes and IESNA Lighting Guidelines.

SINGH holds the highest level of lighting certification in Illinois, which is required for working on complex IDOT electrical systems.
